Introduction to My Final Film for Freshman Frame & Sequence

Abuelita stars my real grandmother, mother, and siblings. The film explores the loneliness I perceive in old age through my grandmother’s experience. She moves through a house filled with signs of life—framed memories, forgotten toys—yet everything feels still, almost lifeless. Abuelita is a short story of an elder waiting for her family to visit.
